Term 1: Foundations and Basics

The curriculum helps you plan out and create content in various topics like basic phonics (A-I), simple math concepts (counting, basic addition), introductory science (weather, plants) and exploring local geography. Arts focus on simple crafts and songs.

Term 2: Development and Exploration

With the proper foundations and basics in place, it’s time to expand and explore further. In the Weeks 10-18, you continue phonics (J-R), more complex math concepts (subtraction, shapes), deeper science explorations (basic physics like simple machines), and more detailed social studies (community helpers, states). Include more complex crafts and group play activities that encourage social skills. Term 2 essentially builds up on what was shared in Term 1 and lays the road map for Term 3 to follow.

Term 3: Application and Expansion

Term 3 is where you play around with advanced concepts and create content pieces that would be good for the learning needs of children that already have the basics in place. Advanced phonics (S-Z), introduction to multiplication and division, science topics like the human body and earth science, and world geography. Arts can include performing simple plays and learning musical instruments.

Term 4: Integration and Application

Term 4 is where all the concepts taught are reinforced. Reading comprehension, complex math problems (fractions, time), detailed science projects (simple experiments), and a deeper understanding of history and different cultures. You conclude this term with comprehensive projects that integrate multiple subjects.
